Why a hive

Around 320 AD, Pappus of Alexandria asked why bees build in hexagons. He reasoned that, of the regular shapes that tile a surface without gaps, the hexagon holds the most for the least wall. Thomas Hales proved it in 1999. We hold our work to the same rule: get the most out of every euro and every week on site.

Bespoke means the scope fits the project.

No two infrastructure projects arrive in the same state. One has studies and no funding. Another has funding, a deadline and an appeal pending. We start by finding out which, then build the team and the work plan around it.

Scoped per commission

Fee, team and deliverables are set after we have read the file and walked the site. You pay for what the project needs and nothing more.

    Project & portfolio offices

    We set up and run project and portfolio management offices for contracting authorities and owners: governance, prioritisation, schedules, risk registers and reporting that a board can act on.

    Public procurement

    Ν. 4412/2016 · Book I & Book II

    Procurement strategy, tender documents (διακηρύξεις) and technical specifications, procedures run through ΕΣΗΔΗΣ, support to evaluation committees and responses to preliminary appeals before the ΑΕΠΠ.

    Design & study review

    Μελέτες

    Independent review of studies for completeness, constructability and cost. We check quantities and budgets before they reach tender, while changes are still cheap.

    Construction supervision

    Owner's representative and site supervision: progress certificates, quality control, variation orders and the site log, kept to the standard an auditor will expect.

    Contracts & claims

    Change control, extensions of time and claims, from either side of the contract. We build the record early, so disputes are settled on facts.

    Technical sheets and maturity files for co-financed programmes, milestone monitoring and verification readiness, so funding is not lost to paperwork.

Six stages close the cell.

Public works in Greece follow a fixed path from site visit to final acceptance. We can join at any stage. Each stage adds a side to the cell, and the sixth closes it.

    Site & brief

    We visit the site, read the file and meet the people who will own the result. Then we tell you plainly what state the project is in.

  2. 02Ωρίμανση

    Maturity

    Studies, permits, land and funding brought to the point where the project can go to tender without surprises.

  3. 03Διακήρυξη

    Tender

    Procurement route, award criteria and tender documents, published and run through ΕΣΗΔΗΣ.

  4. 04Ανάθεση

    Award

    Evaluation, clarifications and appeals handled on the record, through to contract signature.

  5. 05Επίβλεψη

    Delivery

    Supervision, monthly certificates, change control and reporting while the works are built.

  6. 06Παραλαβή

    Acceptance

    Provisional and final acceptance, as-built records and close-out of the funding file.
